Sherwin Williams | Identity & Collateral

There were some controversial issues regarding the Sherwin Williams slogan "Cover The Earth" in their current logo and the message it is sending to the market, as well as the bold colors. What is communicating in their logo is not quite the friendly approach.

Although the Sherwin Williams logo has been around for several years, I thought it was time to give it a new face-lift and go with a modern, sophisticated and friendly appeal. I went with the idea of paint brush strokes, creating the "S" and "W". I use the color blue and green because blue represents loyalty -- and Sherwin Williams have always been true to their customers and green as a green world because some paints nowadays are not made with harsh chemicals, rather environmentally friendly and also the concept of paints with the green environment meeting together to create "one" -- a better world.
